Can The LAP-BAND Be Removed?

After LAP-BAND Surgery LAP-BAND Surgery Information

Answer:

While the LAP-BAND system is not meant to be removed, it can be removed laparoscopically if there is a need. In fact, reports from surgeons indicate that the stomach returns to its original shape after the removal of a LAP-BAND system. Keep in mind that removing the LAP-BAND can result in the patient regaining their weight once again.
